Commercial LED Helps Supply Non-Profit (THAW)

Safe and healthy housing is critical for families and individuals, especially during these challenging times. Unfortunately due to challenging financial circumstances, many are unable to afford rising utility costs, including essentials such as heat and electricity. This creates obvious and serious health and safety concerns, especially during winter months. Thankfully, there are options available to provide financial relief. Since 1985, The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) has helped families across Michigan with energy and utility bills in order to ensure their health, safety and warmth. In fact, THAW has distributed nearly $250 million in energy bill assistance to over a quarter million Michigan households since their inception. Recognizing the important and critical service they provide to the community, the leadership at Commercialledlights.com felt obliged to give back to those who have given so much. As part of THAW’s recent office renovation efforts, they found themselves in need of a significant lighting upgrade to replace outdated and inefficient bulbs. With years of combined experience working with LED lighting technology, Commercial LED Lights has a host of lighting solutions at their disposal to ensure the best possible illumination performance. For this application, Keystone’s 13w (100 watt incandescent equivalent) A19 style LED bulbs were chosen to illuminate THAW’s main office areas, utilizing their existing enclosed fixtures. These bulbs were chosen specifically for their performance and durability within enclosed lighting fixtures. With 70 bulbs supplied, the entire main flood area of the office now has top rate lighting performance, with high color rendering index ratings for maximum visibility. In addition to this, these bulbs are also exceptionally energy efficient, which fits well with THAW’s mission and commitment to improving energy resources for the community at large.
