Commercialledlights.com was founded in 2019 by serial entrepreneur and lighting enthusiast Charles Kughn after seeing a need for a change in the way that contractors and everyday lighting users purchase their products. Since then, this new innovative way of selling commercial lighting has successfully brought commercial LED lighting technology to the masses.
Our company started in Detroit, Michigan which is where our distribution headquarters is located. The company originally operated under its official legal name Detroit Trading and Sourcing, LLC; we’ve since established Commercialledlights.com to better serve our customers throughout the United States.

Although our product lines and business model is centered around supplying industrial, commercial and contractor markets, our LED lighting products are also applicable to various residential applications as well. Many of our landscape lighting and utility lighting fixtures are commonly used in residential homes, purchased and installed either by contractors or homeowners themselves.
